Stacey Madsen, Project Assistant -- So many people fall short with their annual resolutions and then just let it slide until the next year.
You'll be more likely to attain your desired results if you set goals continually, not annually, and start to make things happen immediately in lieu of pushing them off. Resolutions are easily broken, whereas goals hold their value and are meant to be achieved.
As a Project Assistant, I made it a goal to further my education with a focus on Construction Management. I started attending classes to earn a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology with an emphasis on CM from Southeast Missouri State University. With the support of Tarlton, the knowledge I’ve gained in class and my two years on site at the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District Lemay Wastewater Treatment Plant, I am full-speed ahead in the right direction to achieving this goal.
Tarlton is working on the Wet Weather Expansion Project for MSD, and setting team goals has been a vital part of this project. Logs are one of the most beneficial resources for our project team to determine the status of items throughout the project. This process can be used to log your goals and to track how you’re doing in achieving them. These constant reminders keep us on target.
By setting goals regularly, you will be surprised at what you can make happen!
