PROJECT NOTES

This complex project involved the relocation of approximately 200 laboratories from Creve Coeur to Chesterfield and vice versa. Infrastructure improvements included a full renovation of the exhaust system, full rebuild of gas and lab service infrastructure, and electrical distribution upgrades to all project areas.

The team also constructed new walk-in cold rooms and low-temperature freezers, plus a pilot lab dedicated to plant research.

Challenges included relocation of users and the timing of each move as it related to the next lab renovation. The schedule was coordinated around 1,200 personnel affected by the moves. The team worked evenings and off-hours to complete work in occupied areas.
