PROJECT NOTES

Tarlton replaced five existing air handlers with three new units for BJC Christian Hospital Northeast. The replacement project affected 129 patient rooms and waiting rooms, break rooms, therapy rooms and core rooms on nine floors of the hospital.

The project spanning Floors 3-11 added return-air ductwork to bring the HVAC system up to code and increase efficiency by recycling cool air rather than releasing it from the building. New ductwork in patient rooms created a soffit that cut through walls above the window to provide return air vents and connected to a newly installed vertical shaft.
