PROJECT NOTES

Contracted by the U.S. General Services Administration, Tarlton completed this project for the Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, which is responsible for ensuring that the nation’s commercial supply of meat, poultry and egg products is safe, wholesome, and correctly labeled and packaged.

The project required removal of old flooring in the existing laboratory areas and installation of approximately 30,000 sf of new access flooring. Work was sequenced in 23 phases to allow lab operations to continue as usual during the removal and replacement of the raised flooring.
