Tarlton served as the General Contractor for the Missouri American Water’s Generator Addition. Phase 1 to install earthquake resistant plant emergency generators to supply power to the plant in case of large power outages. Work included construction of a new 50’x25’ switchgear building and associated concrete foundations, relocation of existing utilities a new electrical duct bank between the existing CP3B and an additional substation.
Additional work included:
– installation of stairs, railings, and equipment access platforms
– a retaining wall, retained earth fill near the existing CP3B electrical substation
– installation of three 3.25-megawatt emergency generators
– two 6,000-gallon fuel storage tanks
– additional sections of switchgear in the existing CP3B substation
