PROJECT NOTES

Tarlton provided Preconstruction Services and served as Construction Manager for a rebuild of the stage and production area at The Muny, the country’s oldest and largest outdoor musical theater.

Work began in 2018 at the conclusion of the centennial summer season. Renovations included two new towers framing the stage, a new light bridge, an expanded orchestra pit and new production staging areas. The team also constructed a full basement, new electrical and mechanical systems, a new VIP room and new elevators, restrooms, locker rooms and general storage. Tarlton worked with H3 architects, New York.

In May 2018, the Muny announced a fundraising effort for the capital improvements and ongoing maintenance of its 11.5-acre campus in Forest Park. Tarlton is honored to continue its history of working for this iconic St. Louis cultural institution.
