The renovation includes approximately 31,000 sf of lab space on the 9th floor of McDonnell Science that will be utilized to conduct optometry research. The space will include three main wet lab spaces, LER Spaces (Local Equipment Rooms) to maintain equipment, Lab support spaces, dark rooms and office space to support the researchers. Lab modifications include:
– New aluminum frames
– Hollow metal frames
– Flush wood doors
– Gypsum board partitions
– Resilient tile flooring
– Interior painting
– Acoustical ceiling panels
– Wood and metal lab casework
– Mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection
