Tarlton served as Design-Build/Construction Manager for the construction of a 593,722 sf, nine-story, 1,846 car parking garage as part of the new Washington University School of Medicine’s research facility located on the corner of Duncan Ave and Newstead in the Cortex District.
• The garage includes 47,000 sf precast facade, 660,000 sf of concrete slab, three elevators, and three stairwells.
• Tarlton self-perform 160,000 hours of work on the project.
• 30,000 cubic yards of concrete and 2,100 tons of reinforced steel and post-tension cabling were used.
• Tarlton was contracted to McCarthy Building Company and KAI was contracted to Tarlton for design services on this project.
