Preconstruction

Tarlton provided preconstruction services and managed construction of the core and shell for Wexford Science & Technology’s new 5-story, multi-tenant building in the Cortex Innovation Community in St. Louis. The project achieved LEED Gold certification.

Microsoft brought a new regional headquarters and a Technology Center to the state-of-the-art facility, which is also home to a third Cambridge Innovation Center location in the area. Tarlton built out interior spaces for both tenants and completed additional build-outs of space for Cortex and BJC HealthCare.

The structure consists of drilled piers and concrete foundations, steel frame, tilt-up and composite concrete floors. The building envelope comprises tilt-up concrete, metal panels, ribbon windows and curtain wall. Tarlton self-performed 1,500 cy of concrete foundations and 17,700 sf of vapor permeable air barrier.
