Tarlton installed 256 multi-strand rock anchors in the east wall of the main lock chamber and the west wall of the auxiliary lock chamber at Lock & Dam 27 on the Mississippi River Chain of Rocks Canal for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The prestressed rock anchors were installed to increase the stability of the lock wall monoliths, and most of theĀ anchors required a permanent steel micropile casing.

The USACE Mississippi Valley Division honored Tarlton for Superior Safety Performance, recognizing the project team for recording zero lost-time accidents and zero property damage during construction.
